We always would promote our bigger local gigs in Milwaukee by going into the studio of WMSE in Milwaukee and performing live on the radio with their great engineer Billy Cicerelli. Afterward, Billy would hand us a CD of our performance as we were packing up. We would listen to it as we were driving away and would say “we could release this stuff”...so we did...the first batch featuring Malford Milligan, Roscoe Beck, Brannen Temple, Tom Brechtlein, and Johnny Cee came out as “Live on the Radio” back in ‘07 and is mostly comprised of bluesy covers. This is the remastered version of that original release. Feast!

The reasons I love the album are to many to name. It's a drum clinc and the grooves on the post soul R&B jazz tunes are heavy but swing. Oz Noy's songwriting is masterful, but I think we're all getting used to that and his guitar playing keeps getting better and better and more interesting. What 's not to like? I also use that tune to check my sound system because so perfectly laid out in all registers. JS jstillwellcpa
